Announcing RIA Unleashed : Boston

I am proud to officially announce RIA Unleashed : Boston, New England's only conference focused on building rich internet applications using the Adobe Flash Platform including Flex, AIR, ColdFusion, Catalyst and other technologies. RIA Unleashed is, in part, an expansion of the former Flex Camp Boston events I have run the past two years. The event will be held at Bentley University in Waltham, MA, on November 13th, 2009, from 8:00am to 5:30pm.

This year's event is expanded to a full day including 3 tracks - one focused exclusively on Flex and AIR, one exclusively on ColdFusion, and one on related topics such as user experience design and the business of web application development. One of the things that makes this event unique is that if you are interested in either Flex or ColdFusion, you will be able to spend your entire day (including Keynote addresses) focused on the technology of your choice. However, if your interests are broader, you can mix and match sessions from a variety of technologies. In addition, by having multiple tracks this year, RIA Unleashed : Boston will be better suited to a variety of skill levels from true beginners to advanced developers.

We've already lined up a long list of industry experts to speak, including Adam Lehman, Jeff Tapper, Andrew Powell, Shannon Hicks, Adam Flater, Peter Bell, Jason Delmore, Steven Erat and Todd Yard. I think this already makes a compelling lineup but we'll have many more exciting announcements on this front to come, so stay tuned!

The event includes lunch, coffee, a variety of giveaways and more to come. And thanks to the support of our sponsors - Synthenet, Pongo Resume, Adobe, Universal Mind and Webapper - we are able to offer an early bird price that is actually lower than last year's Flex Camp event.

Our first 100 tickets will be available for $30 per person (less than our per-person cost to run the event)! The next 200 tickets will still be an incredibly low $50, and the final 100 will be $60.

I have also arranged an inexpensive group rate at a local hotel for anyone traveling in for the event.
