Two new projects and four updates this week. Did you, dear reader, realize that I have been doing this weekly update for over two years now? Well, neither did I. I am not sure why I was curious, but I was and it turns out that the the very first update was on April 30, 2006. I think in two years I have missed a couple weeks, usually on Christmas. I thought there was a lot to talk about back then, when there were probably no more than 100 projects. Anyway, sorry to toot my own horn a bit here but today I really needed some motivation to get this done - oh, and did I forget a shameless, gratuitous mention of my wishlist?

As of today, my blog has made the transition from BlogCFC (I was still running 4.0) to Mango Blog. I previously reviewed Mango back when I launched the Flex Camp Boston site so the reasons to choose Mango should be clear. However, there are many more things to consider when migrating an existing blog. If you've had your blog for any decent time, this migration is difficult - no matter what engine you move from or to. It's like I read in some ancient Chinese prophesy, "Making your way in the world today takes everything you got..." Indeed....indeed.

Five new releases and four updates this week. It was great to see everyone at CFUnited, and there were a number of presentations covering open-source projects. I would actually love to see more, in particular covering some of the lesser known projects. Perhaps this should be a goal for next year at both CFUnited and cf.Objective(). I'd be happy to present some of them myself.

Thanks to everyone who attended my CFUnited presentation. I had a good turnout and I think it went pretty well. I am hoping that next year I can do a topic of my own choosing! :) Anyway, below is the presentation for those who want it. You can get the sample code out of Subversion at code.google.com/p/remotesynthesis.

On a side note, as you can see the PDF conversion in Acrobat.com isn't 100% yet (though its not bad) but you can pull the menu dropdown and select "download or share" to pull the actual Powerpoint file.

Two new projects and eight updates this week. I wanted to take the time to say goodbye to the ColdFusion Weekly. Thanks to Matt and Peter for working so hard on it for two years. This was literally the only podcast I regularly listened to (and occasionally guested on). I will definitely miss it. On a happier note, see you all at CFUnited tomorrow night.
